Robert was the first one that I worked with from the land down under. He had many troubles with everybody he encountered in getting what he wanted.

Robert’s quest was in searching for a real jeweler, somebody that could execute a platinum ring to the definitive of standards.

It was quite an experience working on this project.

These are the plans showing him how the ring should be made so as not to have exposed solder joins, as the previous platinum smith didn’t have any idea on how to proceed.

Silver is used for mach ups and the diamond replica according to the exact measurements of the diamond before making the ring in .960 ruthenium platinum.

The circle is a sleeve that is used to build the ring on to be sure it is round on the inside.

This is the picture that Robert forwarded to me with his dissatisfaction on the previous platinum smith’s work. Obviously the man doesn’t have the experience and expertise to do such fine work.

The band is shaped and polished inside and out readied for assembly.

A solid bar of .960 ruthenium platinum
is used to fabricate this ring.
This is real hand wrought.
